Want to get mcafee site advisor but have kaspersky?

Posted by admin on September 13th, 2009 and filed under site advisor |

I heard that u shouldnt have two anti virus i was wondering if anything would happen if i had site advisor and kaspersky

McAfee Site Advisor isn’t an anti-virus.It is an application to indicate which site is safe and which isn’t.

You can run them both together, I tried it 2 years ago and it worked perfectly with Kaspersky, no problems.

Hope it helps!

It is not a good idea to have two anti-virus running at the same time. If you want to install mcafee, uninstall kaspersky first, but make sure you disconnect your internet connection first.

Site advisor is an add-on (plug in) that you install in your browser and gives you ratings about the reliability and security of a site.It has nothing in common with AV program. When a site is good=green mark, poor=yellow mark, bad=red mark, unknown=grey mark.I use wot site advisor because it’s not sluggish with my browsers(FF&IE)

Site advisor isn’t an Anti-Virus program it just warns you of sites to stay away from. I know people who use Site Advisor with Kaspersky and have no problems.
