How to cancel McAfee Site Advisor?

Site Advisor consumes 35/40 percent of CPU when running. Search engines stop responding. Computer freezes. Have to go to Task Manager and end running task each time.

    click "tools", then go to "add on’s", from there you can disable or uninstall
