How do I get rid of a Site Advisor Error Report?

Posted by admin on September 16th, 2009 and filed under site advisor |

Each time I log on to my computer, a Site Advisor box pops up saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close and asks to send an error report. It has the M (Macafee) symbol on it. I have tried a virus scan already, but nothing comes up. Please help– this is so annoying!

Do you have any other McAfee Products Installled on your computer? Uninstall the SiteAdvisor and reinstall it back. If the problem is the same try http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/free_security_tools/trendprotect.php?page=overview

If you do not have McAfee security products, chances are the IE plug-in is either corrupted or causing problems. Uninstall the McAfee site advisor.
