Just installed the McAfee Site Advisor add on for Firefox, as added security with my AVG Safe Search add on. As a test i Googled "The Pirate Bay", and AVG’s result is 2 exclamation marks with the message "This site contains the potential for active threat delivery", but McAfees result is a green tick with the message "We tested this site and didn’t find any significant problems".
Which is the one i can trust? Thanks
McAfee can barely find itself much less a threat. Get WOT for Firefox instead

First of all, thepiratebay.org is a wonderful site, full of happiness. Unless you don’t read comments, don’t scan files with an antivirus before running them, and don’t exercise common sense.
Second, yes. They will give different results because there is no "truth" about a website. They all have different criteria. I recommend a plug-in called web of trust (mywot.com), and noscript (noscript.net). Web of trust shows ratings from real people (most of the time) for sites, and noscript stops a site from attacking your computer even if it is a bad site. But, you need to learn to use noscript before just installing it (see their site).
Good luck!
