We’ve got ePO 4.0 running on our server and have deployed Site Advisor to our workstations.
I can see it in IE on the machines but it’s not displaying as an installed application in ePO.
All the other apps are there, like Virus scan enterprise and HIPs, but just not this one.
Any help would be great.
thanks

Have tried reinstalling it, it *is* on the computer, everything possible is enabled, have restarted a few times…why won’t it work! It was just fine until recently, now it no longer shows in the IE toolbar and isn’t doing anything at all. No ratings displayed for Google searches, nothin’.
Try to Uninstall McAfee Site Advisor Then Restart you Computer then install again McAfee Site Advisor or download here http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/ie.html
Site Advisor consumes 35/40 percent of CPU when running. Search engines stop responding. Computer freezes. Have to go to Task Manager and end running task each time.
control panel then programs find mcafee site advisor highlite uninstall or go to drop down arrow next to mcafee tool bar and disable
McAfee Site Advisor is blocking this game i want to play… it is not a virus.. (i know because i played it before)..
How do i make "McAfee Site Advisor" unblock my game??
It’s been a long time since I used Site Advisor, but it seems to me when you go to the site, and it first blocks it. You can select to go to page if you want.
Thanks
works great … i would rather have it running than not …been using with firefox as well as another called wot ….both work great with each other and 99% of the time agree with each others finding … noobs who slam it have no clue are same ones who like norton and or avg……….
I downloaded them both onto Internet Explorer, but I don’t see the icon for it. Whenever I search for things, nothing comes up on the side of the link. They are on Firefox but they’re not on Internet Explorer.
I don’t know why you would use both of them, you only need one. The firefox version is different than the Internet Explorer version. Did you download the IE version of WOT and Mcafee site Advisor?
Each time I log on to my computer, a Site Advisor box pops up saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close and asks to send an error report. It has the M (Macafee) symbol on it. I have tried a virus scan already, but nothing comes up. Please help– this is so annoying!
Do you have any other McAfee Products Installled on your computer? Uninstall the SiteAdvisor and reinstall it back. If the problem is the same try http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/free_security_tools/trendprotect.php?page=overview
I heard that u shouldnt have two anti virus i was wondering if anything would happen if i had site advisor and kaspersky
McAfee Site Advisor isn’t an anti-virus.It is an application to indicate which site is safe and which isn’t.
You can run them both together, I tried it 2 years ago and it worked perfectly with Kaspersky, no problems.
Hope it helps!
Obama adviser Van Jones resigns amid controversy - Sept. 06, 2009 -
WASHINGTON President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.
Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs” with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
The resignation comes as Obama is working to regain his footing in the contentious health care debate.
Jones issued an apology on Thursday for his past statements. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones “continues to work in the administration.”
The matter surfaced after news reports of a derogatory comment Jones made in the past about Republicans, and separately, of Jones’ name appearing on a petition connected to the events surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. That 2004 petition had asked for congressional hearings and other investigations into whether high-level government officers had allowed the attacks to occur.
“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me,” Jones said in his resignation statement. “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”
Jones said he has been “inundated with calls from across the political spectrum urging me to stay and fight.”
But he said he cannot in good conscience ask his colleagues to spend time and energy defending or explaining his past.
Jones flatly said in an earlier statement that he did not agree with the petition’s stand on the 9/11 attacks and that “it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever.”
As for his other comments he made before joining Obama’s team, Jones said, “If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.”
His apologies did little to quiet Republican demands that the resign.
Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana called for Jones to quit, saying in a statement, “His extremist views and coarse rhetoric have no place in this administration or the public debate.”
Missouri Sen. Christopher Bonds urged Congress to investigate Jones’s fitness for his White House position.
Nancy Sutley chair of the council, said in a statement released early Sunday that she accepts Jones resignation and thanked him for his service.
“Over the last six months, he had been a strong voice for creating jobs that improve energy efficiency and utilize renewable resources,” she said. “We appreciate his hard work and wish him the best moving forward.”
