Last night I changed the privacy settings on internet explorer so that I can decide which cookies can enter my computer but the McAfee site advisor icon of Internet Explorer seems to have vanished. I tried clicking tools and manage add ons but it claims that the site advisor is enabled. Is there any way I can make it reappear in Internet Explorer?
I would appreciate specific details on how to make this happen
You should see the application as a selectable option if you right click on the internet explorer file menu "bar" at the top of the application window and make sure it’s checked off.
How do I make McAfee site advisor appear in the Internet Explorer toolbar?
How do I get rid of McAfee Site Advisor?
It’s stopping me using Downlad All to download attachments in Yahoo Mail. The only way I found is to turn McAfee’s firewall off, which renders the program useless!
No, Computer Tech, you can’t because its not there!
You can uninstall McAfee site adviser by going to control panel <> programs and features (win7&Vista)
add/remove programs (winXP) Locate it in the list and remove it.
I have Mcafee Site Advisor and the warning balloons wont show up anymore?
When I google something I use to get warning balloons next to bad sites but not anymore. I end up having to click on the site first to find out it’s rating
We’ve noted over the last few months that the majority of mcafee siteadvisor plugins are failing to install with the standard subscription downloads. Still trying to figure out why, but there are a few things you can try. See the following article for more info:

I have Mcafee Site Advisor and the warning balloons wont show up next to the site anymore.?
I’ve tried redownloading it but still no balloons.
When I search sites they dont have the balloons next to them warning me of dangerous sites.
Restart your computer and then do a search. Do they show up now?
Why can’t I see Mcafee site advisor reviewer comments anymore?
I can’t see them for any site.
McAfee (proven here once again) is a very unreliable program. I recommend that you install Avast Free Antivirus. It does not have site advisory, but Avast does protect against rootkits, as McAfee does not. Your system is NOT safe with McAfee.
How long does it take Mcafee Site Advisor to test a site. I put in last year Nov/Dec to have my site tested.?
After all this time it is still grey with a ? mark. I sell sports sunglasses with a low margin and I do know that this is having an affect on my sales as people will not go into my site.
I can see no where on the site advisor site where you can query this.
it is gray on your site because mcafee hasn’t checked it yet or no one has written a review of it yet
to fix it i think u have to leave a good review or i think that mcafee will eventually scan it
you can do this by going to your site, clicking on the mcafee button on your toolbar and it’ll show all the info
Why does McAfee Site Advisor prevent me from clicking on certain Google ads?
Even though the link on the Google Adwords ad had the green check, I couldn’t get my click on the link to resolve on the advertiser’s website. All the other ads on that same SERP worked fine and the natural listings were no problem. Just one ad with a live (hot) link would not work. Anyone experienced anything like this with McAfee Site Advisor or with other Google Adwords Ads?

AVG Safesearch And McAfee Site Advisor giving different results?
Just installed the McAfee Site Advisor add on for Firefox, as added security with my AVG Safe Search add on. As a test i Googled "The Pirate Bay", and AVG’s result is 2 exclamation marks with the message "This site contains the potential for active threat delivery", but McAfees result is a green tick with the message "We tested this site and didn’t find any significant problems".
Which is the one i can trust? Thanks
McAfee can barely find itself much less a threat. Get WOT for Firefox instead
Link for WOT—>https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3456
Does Mcafee site advisor switch with your default browser?
i downloaded mcafee site advisor and used it on mozilla firefox but then i started using google chrome and i dont see it on the bottom of my webpage like i used to. does it switch over automatically? do i have to change it manually?
No it doesn’t and Mcafee has not developed a Chrome version for that plugin
but there is a workaround which comes from the Google Chrome Forum
but this will not be exactly the same.
Scrol down to this point in the link.
To use this bookmarlet just drag and drop the following link to your Google Chrome’s Bookmarks Bar.
Mcafee SiteAdvisor

A better idea and a great alternative is Web of Trust which is a proper plug-in for Chrome
and works on the same principle as Siteadvisor…..Green/Red Sites etc…etc.
I use WOT in Firefox and IE8 and wouldn’t be without it and its free also.
Is mcafee site advisor any good?
I need to know how long it last, if it takes the place of a anti-virus, and where to get it? I have a windows 7.
it’s not bad but not always accurate .you can get it here http://www.siteadvisor.com/
And for a second opinion on websites you should install W.O.T (web of trust) to your browser, it green lights safe sites, orange lights potentially unsafe sites and red lights definite unsafe sites .you can get it here http://www.mywot.com/
Both site advisor and W.O.T can be installed and used on same browser .
