it is gray and should be green.

i have it ,try to go to different websites,or redownload it ,at first it wasn’t
working for me,so i waited using internet exp 7,it work checking off
different sites some in green and some not.downloaded on firefox 3,
works like a charm

just wondering if I should go for it.

YES , you can download mcafee site advisor , i am presently using it !
but there are a lot lot lot of sites that are not been analysed by site advisor !and it is only available for firefox and ie , but still ! something is better than nothing !

I have AVG 8.5 free addition on my comp, and windows defender. Can i download mcafee site advisor or will it ruin my ocmp?

Use this instead, it works with Internet Explorer and Firefox:

The site advisor won’t ruin your computer, but it will add an unnecessary toolbar to your browser. WOT doesn’t, it just adds red and green dots next to your search results to let you know if a website is malicious.
Also, you should switch to Avast. AVG free edition has poor detection rates and no protection against rootkits.

I enabled it, I even checked on the manage add ons. All are enabled. I even reinstalled it and double checked everything. It’s still greyed out. How to get Site Advisor work on Internet Explorer 7?

Please don’t tell me to get Mozilla. I need to get it work. Thanks.

p.s. IE7 final edition just came out today, Oct 18.
It works with search results on google, but stays grey while randomly visiting sites.

it cant be a bug with the latest version of IE7 as mine works fine

I have installed Firewall Comodo.,and for anti-virus I have Avira premium .Now I want to download this McAfee site advisor as an add on of Mozilla Firefox.would there be any conflict ?Any slowing ?

No problem. There will be no effect of site adviser. By the way McAfee antivirus and site adviser is better for your computer. You can remove comodo, because you have McAfee. I am also using McAfee antivirus and site adviser. It is very good. I have setup of avast and antivirus but I am using McAfee, because it is better than both Avast and Comodo.
